Technical FAQs

Commercial infrared touchless faucet with solid-brass construction, adjustable sensing, dual-power operation and two verified finish options.

✥ Sensor Calibration Procedure? +
Complete sensor commissioning after the basin and surrounding surfaces are installed. The factory sensing position is approximately 4 to 5 inches and can be adjusted for the final lavatory geometry.
◇ Hydraulic Checks During Installation? +
Flush the supply piping before final connection, confirm the 1/2-inch NPT supply connection and inspect the built-in strainer and particle filter before commissioning the solenoid valve.
◯ Flow Rate Verification? +
The standard mesh aerator is specified at approximately 2.2 GPM. If discharge becomes restricted, inspect the aerator, 50-mesh filtration, dynamic pressure and upstream supply condition.
↻ Continuous Flow Diagnostics? +
Clean the infrared sensor window and remove reflective objects from the detection field. Inspect the magnet-latching solenoid for debris or incomplete seating if water does not shut off.
⌁ Sensor Detection Range? +
The active infrared neck-mounted sensor uses digital microprocessor control with an adjustable sensing range of approximately 2 to 6 inches. The factory setting is approximately 4 to 5 inches.
⌂ Operating Water Pressure? +
BathSelect lists approximately 10 to 125 PSI in the primary product specification. Extended technical information also identifies a working range of approximately 1 to 100 PSI.
⚡ Power Supply Options? +
The Bravat sensor faucet supports four AA alkaline batteries or an AC adapter. Product information also specifies AC110V and DC6V operation for commercial new-build and retrofit applications.
⌕ Routine Maintenance Requirements? +
Periodically clean the infrared sensor and aerator, inspect the built-in strainer and 50-mesh filter, check battery condition and confirm reliable solenoid activation and complete automatic shutoff.

5 of 5 Smart Sensor Control Sunday, May 3, 2026
Reviewer: Patrick Holloway, Systems Advisor from Charlotte, NC
While upgrading healthcare and assisted-care facilities between 2021 and 2024, we installed 17 units of the Bravat Sensor Faucet after previous touchless systems repeatedly suffered from premature solenoid wear and unstable infrared calibration. As of 2026, operational consistency remains strong across all locations. The faucet maintained highly dependable sensor responsiveness during continuous high-cycle usage, while the finish resisted corrosion and cleaning-related wear substantially better than earlier public-use fixtures. Water flow also remained balanced without irregular stream interruption. From a technical servicing standpoint, infrared stability and shutoff timing remained highly uniform across facilities with varying basin depths and mounting configurations. Long-term maintenance requirements have remained minimal.

5 of 5 Works great Thursday, December 21, 2023
Reviewer: Bell and Amadeus from Bemidji, MN
We had these installed in the restaurant and we have to say that we were very much impressed with how well they worked. Unlike other sensor faucets tried at malls and other establishments, these are easy to trigger and the automatic shut-off function works extremely well.

Reviewer: SALERNO ARQ from Valparaiso, IN
Durability is a must in commercial settings. Since the Bravat faucet is made of high-quality materials, it will last even under harsh circumstances. Reduced maintenance and operating interruptions are achieved by the smooth and drip-free operation of the ceramic valve core.
